He’s sitting in his chair sipping his tea as the temperature begins to rise outside.
It’s moving towards the hottest part of the day. That doesn’t bother Father Christmas, he still likes his tea.Pondering different ideas for opening the box,  he strolls outside with his half drunk mug of tea.
He sits in his deck chair and continues to think about that little wooden box and sip his tea.
The only question  in his mind is How will he get that box open, how will he get that box open.
A few minutes later he quickly put his tea on the little table beside his deck chair and  rushes around the back of the cottage and into his workshop. Rummaging in some jars and pots that are full of all those things that “will come in useful some day”. He fishes out a long thin broken piece of wire. It’s thin, strong and about 20cm long.Excitedly he walks back to the kitchen and picks up the small wooden box. While he was drinking his tea, he remembered the old Japanese puzzle boxes he made for a little boy one year. There was a tiny little hole in one side, when you inserted a piece of wire, you could….. …never mind!!
He brushes the box again, where is that hole ?
Frustrated he turns the box over and over in his hands.
Stupid box!
Where is that hole ?

He takes the box back to his workshop.
Resting it on the bench he studies all the sides carefully. He was sure that there’s going to be a hole.

Leaving the box in his workshop he walks out and fetches his tea, walking back he feels totally deflated. He had found a box, he can’t get it open.
There’s somthing inside and he wants it.
